St. Nicholas Bible Studies Resume

Posted on: October 31st, 2017

We will study the Gospels from the following perspectives:

1.     To achieve a better understanding of the Books of the New Testament, the Acts, and the Letters within the context of the culture, times, and purpose of the Evangelists who wrote them through Divine inspiration.

2.     To study these works from the Eastern Church perspective.

3.     To gain a greater understanding of the origins of some of our Eastern Church traditions.

4.     To gain an understanding about the application of these great works to our own lives today.

Jayne Buryn will head the sessions and Father Julian will be available at as many of the sessions as he is able, to answer any questions and expand our understanding of the Bible as its teaching applies to our everyday lives.

Sessions will be held every second Thursday.  Next session will be November 9 at 7:00 p.m.

Come and bring a friend.  Participants do not have to be parishioners of St. Nicholas and you do not have to attend every session if you are unable to do so.

If you have any questions, please contact Father Julian at 780-668-1127 or Jayne Buryn at 780-998-9215 or e-mail at burynjl@shaw.ca
