Safer Environments Training Workshops

As Christians we are called to ensure to the best of our ability that our parishes and ministries offer a safe environment to all, particularly to the children and vulnerable adults such as the sick, elderly, or disabled.  In accordance with the Eparchy of Edmonton's protocol, "Working Together for Safer Environments," training workshops in abuse prevention and best practices are now being scheduled.  These training workshops will be offered on an ongoing basis for existing and new employees/volunteers and will be offered at various times and various locations throughout the Eparchy.  Abuse Prevention Training for Parish Ministry Leaders and Volunteers will be held on:

Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God Parish, 15608 - 104 Avenue, Edmonton, AB 

Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas Parish, 9507 Austin O'Brien Road, Edmonton, AB 

Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Josaphat Cathedral, 10725 - 97 Street N.W. Edmonton, AB

Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Josaphat Cathedral, 10725 - 97 Street N.W. Edmonton, AB

Training is mandatory for all members of Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Committee, all leaders of parish ministries and programs, and all volunteers who serve children, youth or vulnerable persons, however, all other parishioners are welcome to attend.
