Appointment of Eparchial Communications Coordinator

The Eparchial Pastoral Council has been developing a communication strategy for the Eparchy of Edmonton as part of the implementation of our 25 Year Pastoral Plan.

I am pleased to share with you the appointment of Jayne Buryn as Eparchial Communications Coordinator.  Jayne is a parishioner of Saint Nicholas Parish, Edmonton;  she currently chairs the Eparchial Pastoral Council.  Jayne's responsibilities will be three-fold: 1) Report on various eparchial events, or oversee the report of such events; 2) Implement the eparchial communication strategy; and 3) Advise on how best to tell the story of the Ukrainian Catholic Church.  Her first "assignment" has been to report on the missionary activity of the Melkite Greek-Catholic Church in Alberta.  Our Ukrainian Catholic Parishes of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, Edmonton, and Saint Stephen Parish, Calgary, host two new Melkite missions, respectively. 

Jayne is also currently working on articles related to the opening of the new Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God Parish, Grande Prairie.
